Aamir Khan postpones son Junaid’s film ‘Mere Raho’, now it will be released in summer 2026
Tezzbuzz Desk – The release date of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and South’s famous actress Sai Pallavi’s upcoming film ‘Mere Raho’ has been changed. Earlier, there was a plan to release this film in theaters on December 12, but considering the presence of many big films in December, the makers have decided to postpone it.
The film has been produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and is now planned to release in summer 2026. According to industry sources, ‘Mere Raho’ may hit the big screens in July 2026.
Why was the release date changed?
The shooting and post-production work of the film has been completed long ago. Aamir Khan himself was handling the promotion. However, Aamir had already guessed that releasing the film in December could be risky.
According to a source, “The month of December was full of big films. Films like Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ had already made a huge mark at the box office. Apart from this, Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic comedy ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’ was also releasing in the same month. In such a situation, avoiding conflict was a commercially wise decision.”
Sources also say that if ‘Mere Raho’ had released in December, it would have faced challenges at the level of distribution and screen count.
Junaid Khan’s second theatrical film
‘Mere Raho’ will be Junaid Khan’s second theatrical release after ‘Loveyapa’. There is a lot of excitement among the audience about the film, because Junaid is going to be seen in an intense and different kind of character in it.
This film is considered to be the Bollywood debut of Sai Pallavi. However, he is also a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s mega budget film ‘Ramayana’, which will release on Diwali 2026. But his first entry in Hindi cinema will be from ‘Mere Raho’ which will be released in July 2026.
The release and name of the film has changed earlier also
Interestingly, the release date of ‘Mere Raho’ has not changed for the first time. Initially it was to be released on 7 November, then it was postponed to 12 December. Not only this, the name of the film was also initially named ‘Ek Din’, which was later changed to ‘Mere Raho’.
