Aamir Khan Productions shared a heartfelt video amidst the Oscar entry of their film Laapataa Ladies. Following the announcement of the news that Laapataa Ladies has been nominated for the 97th Academy Awards. The actors and crew of the movie cannot hold themselves from expressing their happiness. After the director, Kiran Rao, and the lead actors, the producers of the movie have now posted reactions to the milestone the movie has reached. The Amir Khan production house has shared a glimpse of the team watching the movie for the first time. The video shows the level of attachment of the cast and crew to the movie.

The video starts with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s names on the big screens. The loud cheers were clear from the fans in the clip. In the later part of the video, we see the actor Ravi Kishan, who portrayed Sub-Inspector Shyam Manohar, is seen hugging the director. Actors Pratibha Ranta (Jaya Tripathi Singh) and Nitanshi Goel (Phool Kumari) were seen cuddling up to one another and crying happy tears. Ravi steps up to the mic and says that he has worked on 750 bilingual films and has never shed a tear. But this film made him cry that day.
In the video, Aamir Khan also appeared and could be seen praising Rao. He revealed that he told Kiran about his appreciation for the tale when he felt it was good, and she performed a fantastic job as both director and producer. Khan concluded by saying, “This is one of the best films we have in our production.”
After a long break, Kiran Rao took the helm once again. She created a film that spoke to the people of India as a whole. In addition to receiving high praise from critics, Laapataa Ladies was a huge box office hit. It received so much praise that it was officially nominated as India’s entry for the 2025 Academy Awards.
