Aamir Khan quit smoking for son's career
Delhi Delhi. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is all set for the release of his much-awaited dramatic film Loveyapaa, starring Khushi Kapoor in the lead role. Earlier today, the trailer of the film was released in Mumbai, with Aamir also present. During the programme, he spoke candidly about giving up his long-standing 'bad' habit of smoking cigarettes and pipes, despite his love for tobacco.
Aamir said, “Smoking is something that I like very much, I enjoy it. For so many years I used to smoke cigarettes, then smoke a pipe. Tobacco is something that I enjoy; it is good for health. It's not good, and no one should do this, the reason I'm glad I gave up this bad habit is really special.”
Furthermore, Aamir revealed that this decision was a turning point for him, as he decided to give up his old habit for the sake of his son Junaid, who is starting his career in films. “I made a vow in my heart, this chale nahi chale, I am giving up from my side, as a father, I will make sacrifices. And I hope in many universes he will go and do something,” the 59-year-old actor Said.
Junaid's Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan, he is the producer of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, it is produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment. Loveyapa also stars Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar and Kiku Sharda. The film is scheduled to release on February 7, 2025. The film will be Junaid and Khushi's first theatrical release after their OTT films Maharaj and The Archies respectively.
