Aamir Khan has shared a surprising behind-the-scenes detail from The riverrecalling how Reema Kagti scolded him on set.
In an exclusive interview with Just Too Filmythe Talaash actor revealed that he was once scolded for eating slowly, which led him to remind the team that he was also the film’s producer.
Recounting a humorous moment from the making of one of Bollywood’s most iconic films, Aamir told the outlet, “The river had so many actors, and she was the second AD. She had to plan all the timings, who would come at what time, who would have breakfast when, etc.
“They used to keep 15 minutes for breakfast, and I eat slowly, I do everything slowly, so I told them to call me 15 minutes earlier. She scolded me and said, ‘For you, the whole hair and makeup team will not come 15 minutes earlier.’”
He added that he suggested skipping breakfast instead, but there was no change in plan, and she maintained that this was the only way to ensure he was on time.
For the unversed, The river is regarded as one of India’s finest cinematic achievements, including its nomination for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
