New Delhi, 29 December. Filmmaker Kiran Rao shared a long note on social media after his ‘appendix surgery’ informing that he has been discharged from the hospital. Kiran, known for directing films like “Missing Ladies” and “Dhobi Ghat”, shared some of her pictures on Instagram on Sunday and expressed her gratitude to her family members.
She wrote in her post, “I was all set to celebrate the year 2026, when my appendix reminded me to stop, take a deep breath and express gratitude.” He also thanked his doctor Kayomarj Kapadia and his team.
Kiran wrote, “Deeply grateful to modern medical science. Thank you to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital for the excellent care and the timely intervention of my friends and family (Aamir, Charles and Amin) who immediately responded.”
She said, “Now I have been discharged from the hospital and am back home. The year 2025 has been good for me and my loved ones. Hopefully 2026 will be a year of happiness, love and better air quality (AQI) for everyone.”
On this post of Kiran, many celebrities from the film industry wished her speedy recovery. Karan Johar wrote, “Godspeed”, while Neeraj Pandey and Aditi Rao Hydari also expressed their affection for him.
