AAP boycotted Delhi budget session, Minister Pravesh Verma attacked, said – Opposition is running away afraid of PAC and CAG report
AAP Boycotts Delhi Budget Session: Delhi Budget Session has started from today. On the first day of the session, CM Rekha Gupta presented the Economic Survey report. The session started with the Kheer Ceremony, in which Rekha Gupta herself prepared Kheer and inaugurated the session by serving it to people from different walks of life including schoolgirls, farmers, eunuchs, doctors, gig workers. Now Delhi CM will present the Delhi budget on March 24.
Here, Aam Aadmi Party i.e. AAP has boycotted the Delhi budget session. On this, Delhi Government Minister Parvesh Verma termed the opposition’s boycott on the first day of the budget session as unfortunate. He alleged that the opposition was avoiding facing its mistakes due to fear of PAC and CAG reports.
In protest against the boycott of the House by the opposition on the first day of the budget session, Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Pravesh Verma held a press conference and called the opposition’s action unfortunate. He said that on the first day of the budget session, the opposition colleagues boycotted the session, which is very unfortunate. He said that when the opposition came to know that today the PAC report and CAG report are coming and the work done by the government in Delhi in the last one year will be told and the budget will be presented regarding the direction for the next one year, then they got scared of all these things.
When AAP was in power, BJP members were thrown out
Pravesh Verma said that the condition of Delhi has deteriorated in the last 11 years. He alleged that when the opposition was in power, eight of its members were thrown out of the House every day, whereas now the same people are teaching the lesson of morality. He appealed to the opposition to participate in the proceedings of the House and said that if there are any shortcomings in the government, they should be raised in the House and told to the people of Delhi. He said that a lot of public money is spent in elections and the public has elected all the public representatives, hence it is everyone’s responsibility and duty to remain accountable to the people of Delhi.
The opposition cannot face its mistakes
Pravesh Verma said that not being able to face up to their mistakes and avoiding the issues of alleged thefts and looting committed in Delhi, the opposition distanced itself from the proceedings of the House and demonstrated outside the Assembly complex. He said that to avoid these reports, the opposition is running away from here and shirking its responsibility. A lot of work still remains to be done in Delhi. The government, Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs are working in their respective areas and money is being given by every department to every assembly constituency so that development work can be done.
