AAP leader Sanjeev Arora presented four year report card of Punjab government

Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora presented the four-year report card of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during a street meeting in Sarabha Nagar today.

What did Sanjeev Arora say in the public meeting?

Addressing the public meeting, Sanjeev Arora said that Punjab is rapidly moving towards development and will soon become “Rangla Punjab”. He said that the state has achieved historic and unprecedented progress in the last four years, which was never imagined before nor happened in the last 70 years.

The Cabinet Minister also said that Punjab has been ranked as the number one state by the Government of India in the areas of road safety, education and ease of doing business. He said that this is the first time in the history of Punjab that the state has received such recognition in these key areas. He further said that today there is discussion in the entire country as to how Punjab is moving towards becoming the number one state in the country due to the extraordinary efforts of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Counted achievements of four years

Sanjeev Arora said that for the last four years, every household in Punjab is being given 300 units of free electricity per month. He said that 75 percent farmers are getting uninterrupted power supply in the morning, which will be increased to 95 percent during the upcoming paddy (jhona) season. He also informed that PSPCL’s services have been made more efficient and effective, resulting in higher profits, lower losses and better uninterrupted power supply.
He further said that the Punjab government has launched a cashless health insurance scheme of up to Rs 10 lakh for every citizen, making Punjab the first state in the country to implement such a comprehensive programme.

He said that women of the state will soon start getting financial assistance of Rs 1000 and Rs 1500 per month under the scheme announced by Chief Minister S Bhagwant Singh Mann. He also said that the state’s roads would soon be made litter-free and Punjab would have the best road infrastructure in the country.
