AAP praises Punjab Police for busting a big network of cyber terrorism

Punjab: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal praised the Punjab Police for busting a large network of cyber terrorism and arresting the main accused from West Bengal.

What did MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal say?

Addressing a press conference in Amritsar on Friday, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government has been promising from the very beginning that anyone trying to spread terror, firing, carrying out blasts or trying to spoil the atmosphere of the state in any way will not be spared.

He said that in today’s era, cyber terrorism has emerged as a new big challenge, under which false threats are being made to bomb schools, colleges and government buildings. Bravely facing this challenge, the brave soldiers of Amritsar Police have arrested the main accused of a big network of cyber terrorism from West Bengal.

Dhaliwal said that the arrested person is a 30-year-old youth, who had contacts with many countries and states including Pakistan, Bangladesh. This person was part of a big gang, which kept spreading terror in many states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh through emails and WhatsApp groups. This is the same person who had threatened to blow up the Punjab Secretariat, Assembly and Sri Darbar Sahib.

Dhaliwal clearly said that controlling cyber terrorism is a more difficult task than ordinary terrorism, because any person sitting in America, Canada or any other country can give threats through cyber medium. Despite this, Punjab Police has achieved great success in this challenge. He gave a message to the people of Punjab and Amritsar that there is no need to panic. The AAP government is fully committed to the safety of every person.

Referring to the ongoing campaign against drugs, Dhaliwal said that the Mann government has put big smugglers behind bars, which did not happen during the time of any previous government. He also appealed to the Central Government to provide modern anti-drone technology and weapons to the BSF soldiers deployed on the 332 km long border of Punjab, which have not been provided till now.
