AAP’s big statement after INDIA block meeting, as long as Congress leads INDIA alliance…
New Delhi. An important meeting of the constituent parties of the opposition ‘India’ alliance was held at the Constitution Club in Delhi on Monday (June 8). Information has come to light that in this meeting there will be discussion regarding upcoming political strategy and organizational coordination. Sonia Gandhi, former President Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge attended the meeting from the Congress side. Apart from this, prominent leaders of more than 20 parties including Mamata Banerjee (Trinamool Congress), Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party) and Tejashwi Yadav (Rashtriya Janata Dal) also participated in the meeting. According to sources, the objective of this meeting was to strengthen coordination within the alliance and to discuss the upcoming election strategy. Aam Aadmi Party and DMK did not participate in this meeting, due to which various kinds of speculations are being made in political circles.
Meanwhile, the statement of Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti has come to light. He said that ‘India Alliance’ was formed for a special mission, just like the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) has been formed by the ruling party. He said that every alliance has a “dharma”, and its basic principle should be that what is inside should clearly stay together and what is outside should be considered outside. He further said that as long as Congress continues to lead the ‘India Alliance’ under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, the future of this alliance will remain weak.
Congress But BJP From ‘collusion‘ Of Blame
Somnath Bharti has made serious allegations against the Congress and said that despite talking about alliance, at some levels there seems to be an “inside” agreement with the BJP. Somnath Bharti alleged that on one hand it is said that the opposition parties will fight the elections unitedly and support each other, but in practice the situation seems different. He claimed that on many occasions there appears to be an indirect coordination between Congress and BJP. Referring to the Delhi Lok Sabha elections, he said that seats were distributed there on the formula of 4/3, in which Congress got three seats. According to Bharti, Arvind Kejriwal campaigned openly on these seats and also sought votes for Congress candidates.
Somnath Bharti claimed that on the four seats where Aam Aadmi Party candidates were contesting, no big leader from Congress, except Rahul Gandhi, openly supported nor showed active participation in seeking votes from the public. He said, “What is the point of alliance in such a situation, when the allies do not campaign for each other at the grassroots level.” According to Bharti, at many places an attempt was made to create an atmosphere against the Aam Aadmi Party. Further referring to the Delhi Assembly elections, he said that the reaction of Congress after the results was also disappointing. According to him, despite getting zero seats, Congress held such a press conference in which it expressed satisfaction over the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party, which is against the spirit of the alliance.
Somnath Bharti said that in some circumstances the election results were affected due to reasons like “vote cutting and vote theft”. He claimed that at one time there were around 1 lakh 48 thousand votes in his constituency, which came down to 1 lakh 2 thousand after a few months. He raised the question that when Rahul Gandhi talks about “vote theft” in the country, then why there is silence on the matters of Delhi. According to Bharti, if such irregularities are talked about, then all the states should be included in it. The AAP leader further accused Congress of not following the coalition dharma and said that there is no equality in dealing with allies. He said that such attitude weakens opposition unity and raises questions on the credibility of the alliance.
