Abb… Vithoba started talking! Children’s play by Prabhakar More; ‘New experiment, new language’ will get a special message

Actor Prabhakar More, who became famous for his Konkani character in ‘Haasyajatra’, will now be seen in a different role. He is acting for the first time in the popular children’s play ‘Abb Vithoba Bolu Lade’ and will play the role of a priest. For this role, he has also successfully met the challenge of speaking dialogues in Marathi. The play has been directed by Prashant Girkar and he has added a modern presentation to it. The next rehearsals of this play will be held on April 16 at Kashinath Ghanekar in Thane, April 17 at Borivali and Dadar. It has already had 10 successful rehearsals in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. Now, after the children’s examination, the play will be performed all over Maharashtra during the holidays and a Konkan tour has also been organized between May 1 and 3.

Actor Prabhakar More shared his experience in a recently held press conference. He said, “Speaking in Pramana language was a big challenge for me. After playing a Konkani character for so many years, this change was not easy. So I had to devote more time and effort for this play. But I learned a lot in the process.” An attempt has been made to connect today’s mobile-addicted generation with reality through this play, which beautifully blends culture and tradition.

This comedy play written by Neelkanth Nandurkar from the organization ‘Curtain Raiser Entertainment’ and ‘Little Theatre’ i.e. ‘Baalrangbhumi’ has come to the audience with a new set. The history of this play is equally rich. Earlier, veteran actors like Laxmikant Berde, Vijay Kenkare, Vinod Hadap worked in this drama and gained immense popularity. Due to his performance, this play was very popular during that time. Now after Sudhatai, producer Namita Wagle-Girkar is presenting the play in a new form.

In this new version, famous actor Prabhakar More plays the role of ‘Dhammal Pujari’ along with Sagar Pawar, Neeta Donde, Nikhil Kenjale, Prakash Ayyal, Ajit Savare, Prem Ooty, Ashiq Chavan, Virraj Rajput, Unnati Shinde, child artist Abir Joshi, Gojiri Jagdale, Kiara Patil, Sreeja Pote, Ayush Tembe, Dhruv Khanwilkar, Siddesh Baride, Ovi. Bhujbal, Mriga Joshi will add color to the drama.
