Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in an election rally on Saturday that this assembly election is going to end the rule of three families in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah family, Mufti family and Nehru-Gandhi family, these three families created obstacles in the way of democratic rule here. If the Modi government had not come in 2014, then panchayat, block and district elections would not have taken place.

Amit Shah said in an election rally in Mendhar of Poonch district that Abdullah, Mufti and Nehru-Gandhi family spread terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir from the 1990s till now. There was so much firing in Jammu and Kashmir in the 1990s. Earlier there was firing because the masters here were afraid of Pakistan but now Pakistan is afraid of Prime Minister Modi. They do not have the courage to fire and if they fire, the bullet will be answered with a shell. Today the Modi government has ended terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The youth here have been given laptops instead of stones.

Senior BJP leader Shah attacked the opposition parties and said that Congress and National Conference have said that they will end reservation while we are saying that we will give reservation to Gujjars, Bakarwals and Paharis in promotions as well. After the arrival of Prime Minister Modi, OBCs, backward classes, Gujjars, Bakarwals and Paharis got reservation. When I presented the bill, Farooq Abdullah’s party opposed it and started instigating Gujjar brothers here. When I came to Rajouri, I had promised that we will not reduce the reservation of Gujjar brothers and will give reservation to Paharis as well and we have fulfilled that promise.
