Abhigyan Kundu was born on April 30, 2008, and grew up in Mumbai. His father, Abhishek Kundu, works with Tata Consultancy Services. He started playing cricket at the age of five and trained under coach Chetan Jadhav at the Avinash Salvi Foundation. During his early years, he reportedly faced between 5,000 and 10,000 deliveries a day.
