Abhishek Banerjee recently opened up about his first interaction with Amitabh Bachchan.
The 40-year-old actor, who rose to fame from his debut role in Rang De Basanti, recalled his collaboration with the Mohabbatein star in Section 84.
In an exclusive conversation with SCREENhe said, “That film is not out yet, but when I met Mr Bachchan, I was in awe. I was shivering on set, was having goosebumps. To be working with somebody I’ve admired and followed all my life, that was very special for me.”
Later in the interaction, Banerjee explained the Sholay actor’s reaction after he bent to touch his feet.
Speaking to the outlet, he added, “I went for his feet, naturally. But, he got very upset with me. He immediately said, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this?’ I was so confused because Indian families teach this only – touching feet of the elders.”
The Pataal Lok star also shared that the Big B doesn’t like such acts because he wants his co-stars to treat him like their co-worker only.
On professional front, Banerjee is currently gearing up for his upcoming film, Section 84with Bachchan.
Ribhu Dasgupta’s directorial is slated for release on Thursday, November 19.
