The SRH opener Abhishek Sharma went on to smash a stunning century, leading the side from the front during the IPL 2026 game against Delhi Capitals on April 21 at Hyderabad.
His century came from 47 deliveries, which included 9 sixes and 7 fours, and he continued to trouble the Delhi Capitals bowlers.
Abhishek Sharma has played 83 games so far where he posted 2004 runs. In IPL 2026, he played six games and scored 188 runs at an average of 31.33.
After invited to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the innings while Mukesh Kumar opened the bowling attack.
The duo made a decent start scoring 67 runs in the powerplay. Axar Patel brought the breakthrough dismissing Travis Head for 37 runs. He was dismissed after hitting a delivery into deep mid-wicket where he didnot get elevation on th shot. The ball went right down to Sameer Rizvi who was placed in deep mid wicket.

Ishan Kishan who joined Abhishek Sharma, went on to score 25 runs off 12 deliveries. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma slammed his century after the side cross 150 run mark. Soon after his century, Ishan Kishan got dismissed on a run out.
With Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma at crease, they went on to cross 200 run mark and aiming to post a massive total putting up tough target at Hyderabad.
