Abu Dhabi T10: New York Strikers head coach confident of strong performance

Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi: Defending champions New York Strikers have started their Abu Dhabi T10 campaign with high-intensity training sessions, demonstrating their commitment to retaining the coveted trophy. The team's preparations began with a core group of players taking to the field, with more stars set to join in the coming days. The strikers are being coached by head coach Karl Crowe and assistant coach Albie Morkel, a release said. The pair have expressed confidence in their strong squad, which includes returning champions as well as exciting new players.

The team's strong bowling lineup featuring international stars like Reece Topley and Mohammad Amir, coupled with a powerful batting line-up makes them strong contenders for back-to-back titles. Speaking about the first training session and the structure of the team, head coach Karl Crowe said that they have some players who have been here for the last few years, so it is good to have the core players of the group together.

“We have also added some exciting new players to the squad. We have a number of players who have been performing well around the world – Evin Lewis did very well for the West Indies and Reece Topley is a great bowler. We can build on the good performances that we had last year.” “We are very pleased with the addition of these players while maintaining what we have done,” he said, according to the release. Assistant coach Albie Morkel, who is overseeing the bowling department, said, “We have a fantastic bowling lineup and I'm very excited to see if we can get all these players together in the same team. Mohammad Amir and Reece Topley “With the addition of our spin attack, we have a serious attack. Despite the pressure of being defending champions, there is no reason why we can't perform well again with the players we have.”
