The first and biggest change is that the same artist can now be nominated more than once in a category. Earlier, a single artist was nominated only once in a category. But now if an actor plays two outstanding roles in a year and both roles are well received, he can get two nominations in the same category for both the performances. Another important change is related to technology. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in films is increasing these days. AI is sometimes used to enhance actors’ performances or create special scenes. But according to the new rules, performances created under the influence of AI will not be nominated in the Oscars. This will give more importance to original human acting.

The third major change is in the Best International Feature Film category. Previously, each country could send only one film to the Oscars. Now, however, a country is allowed to send two films. This change could be particularly important for India, as India produces many quality films in various languages. So now more films can get global exposure.
