Ranchi: The team of Anti Corruption Bureau has arrested Amin red handed while taking a bribe of eight thousand rupees, working in Silli zonal office of Ranchi. The arrested Amin Ganesh Mahato was demanding bribe from a person for measuring the land. Whose written complaint was made in ACB.

According to the official information given by the Anti Corruption Bureau, the complainant Vasudev Mahato, a resident of Silli, Ranchi, had given a written complaint to the ACB that Amin was demanding bribe from Ganesh Mahato in exchange for the measurement, report and map of his land. Vasudev Mahato did not want to get the work done by paying bribe under any circumstances. After which he made a written complaint about the matter to ACB. After receiving the complaint, ACB officials investigated the matter and found the complaint to be true.

Amin had demanded a huge amount from Vasudev Mahato for measuring the land and for drugs, but when Vasudev Mahato said that he did not have the money, the deal was settled for Rs 8000. The matter of giving money was told to ACB by Vasudev Mahato. After which the Anti Corruption Bureau team laid a trap to catch Amin and on Thursday arrested him red-handed while taking bribe.

After arresting the accused Amin, the Anti Corruption Bureau has issued a press release giving complete information regarding the arrest. According to the press release, the applied land was measured on 10.02.2026 by Amin Ganesh Mahato working in Silli zonal office. After measurement, bribe was being demanded by Amin Ganesh of Silli area for measurement report and map. The complainant did not want to get the work done by paying bribe. After which he applied to ACB.

The application was duly verified. During verification, the allegations against Amin Ganesh Mahato, posted at Zonal Office, Silli, Ranchi, were found to be true. After this, on the basis of the written application of the complainant and the verification report of the verifier, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ranchi Police Station Case No. 08/26, dated 18.02.2026, Section-7(a) Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act-2018, registered the FIR and arrested the accused Amin Ganesh Mahato red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 8,000/-(eight thousand) by the team of Corruption Bureau, Ranchi. Has been arrested on date-19.02.2026 from Zonal Office, Silli, Ranchi. Further action is being taken against the accused.
