ACB interrogated businessman Vinay Singh in jail, asked questions on financial transactions with suspended IAS Vinay Chaubey.

Ranchi: A team of ACB officials interrogated Vinay Singh, an automobile businessman accused in the land and liquor scam and also in the case of amassing disproportionate assets, in the jail on Tuesday. After permission from the court, the team of ACB officials had gone to the jail for questioning. Businessman Vinay Singh is currently lodged in Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan Central Jail of Hazaribagh. He has been questioned the most in the forest land scam in Hazaribagh. During Vinay Choubey’s tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh, the forest land registry was done in the name of Vinay Singh and his wife Snigdha Singh, which is being investigated by the ACB Hazaribagh team.

ACB tried to get information from Vinay Singh on many points, including transactions in the bank account between suspended IAS officer Vinay Kumar Chaubey and automobile businessman Vinay Singh, payment of more than Rs. crore through Vinay Singh to the account of Vinay Chaubey’s wife Swapna Sanchita. ACB also asked many questions to Vinay Singh on the investment of black money of Chaubey. They also wanted to get information from him about the whereabouts of his wife Snigdha Singh, accused in the forest land scam, who is currently absconding and ACB officials are busy searching for her.

Vinay Singh’s son Sanat Singh could not appear before ACB

ACB had raided Delhi in search of Vinay Singh’s wife Snigdha Singh, where her son Sanat Singh was found. Sanat Singh was interrogated by the ACB and was called to the ACB Jharkhand headquarters to join the ACB’s interrogation. He was to appear before the ACB on Monday, but he could not appear before the ACB. ACB will soon send him another notice and call him to join the interrogation.
