All the deceased are said to be members of the same family.

According to the police, the accident took place around 6:30 pm on Thursday near Silor bridge in Sadar police station area of ​​Bundi district. Five people from Tonk district were going to Kota by car to attend the birthday celebrations. A truck full of gravel coming from Jaipur to Kota hit the car from behind. One of the truck’s tires burst, causing the driver to lose control. Then this terrible accident happened.

Police officials said that the truck went into the wrong lane after the tire burst in this accident. After the collision, both the vehicles skidded to the other side of the road and the truck overturned directly on top of the car. The truck hit the car and the car was crushed. In this, four people including three siblings who were sitting in the car died on the spot.

The dead have been identified

The deceased have been identified as Moinuddin (aged 60), Fariduddin (aged 45), Azmiuddin (aged 40) and his cousin Saifuddin (aged 28). All these were residents of Tonk district. Saifuddin’s father Wasiuddin (age 64) was injured in this accident. He has been admitted to hospital for treatment and is reported to be in a stable condition.

The car was pulled out with the help of a crane

The car was completely crushed under the truck. It was pulled out using a crane. After several hours of efforts, the bodies were recovered. The families of the deceased have been informed. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and further legal action is being taken.

The highway reopened

Police said that traffic on the national highway was disrupted for some time after the accident. However, it was later reversed. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accident happened due to burst tire of the truck. A detailed investigation is underway and the truck driver is also being interrogated.
