Accused of calf theft arrested within 24 hours, stolen calf recovered

Naini, Prayagraj Naini Police has got great success. The police team took prompt action in the case of calf theft and arrested an accused within 24 hours and recovered the stolen calf from his possession. Jitendra Kumar Bharatiya, resident of village Chak Abhayram of Naini police station area, lodged a complaint in Naini police station on March 7 and said that an unknown person had stolen the calf tied outside his house.

In this regard, a case was registered at Naini police station under crime number 116/2026 section 303 (2) BNS. Acting on the information of the informer, the police team arrested Mohammad Arif (22), son of late, resident of village Bhandara from Dhanua parking ground on Saturday. Mohammad Naeem was arrested. During the search, a stolen white calf was recovered from the possession of the accused.

During interrogation, the accused told that on the night of March 4, he had stolen the calf tied outside Jitendra Kumar’s house at Chak Abhayram and had kept it hidden in Dhanua Maidan. On Saturday, when he was going to sell the calf, the police caught him. During the investigation of the case, the police have increased sections 317 (2) and 317 (4) of BNS. There are many criminal cases registered against the accused in the past also.

Legal action is being taken by the police as per rules. In-charge Inspector Brij Kishore Gautam, Sub Inspector Harsh Kumar, Kuldeep Upadhyay, Utkarsh Singh and constables Ashish Yadav, Narendra Pal, Vikas Upadhyay and Sagar Parmar were involved in this action.
