Accused who threatened film actor Salman Khan arrested from Karnataka, had demanded ransom of Rs 5 crore
Mumbai. Mumbai Police has arrested Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi from Karnataka for sending a threatening message to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. According to the police, the accused Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, who claims to be the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, is a native of Jalore district of Rajasthan.
Actually, film actor Salman Khan had received another threat on November 4. The person who threatened him had demanded Rs 5 crore from him. He claimed that he was the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. A suspect was caught in the case in Hubballi, Karnataka. After this the Mumbai Police team was sent there. The man, a welder by profession, was arrested by Mumbai Police after questioning.
Mumbai Police had allegedly received a threat message against Salman from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the threat, the actor was given two options – apologize to stay alive or give Rs 5 crore. This was the second threat received by Salman in a week.
According to police sources, the traffic control room of Mumbai Police received a threatening message on WhatsApp last night in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The message sent to the traffic control room claimed that he is the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he will have to go to our temple and apologize or pay Rs 5 crore. If they don't do this, we will kill them, our gang is still active.
Police are investigating the message. Earlier last week, on October 30, Mumbai Traffic Control had received a similar threat against Salman Khan. Then a ransom of Rs 2 crore was allegedly demanded from the Bollywood actor and if he did not pay it, he was threatened with death. After which Mumbai Police had registered an FIR against an unknown person. After this, Mumbai Police arrested a person from Bandra area of Mumbai.
