ACME Solar Holdings commissions third phase of 8 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has taken another step forward in expanding its renewable energy footprint with the commissioning of an additional 8 MW capacity of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The project is being developed through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, and is progressing in a phased manner.

With this latest commissioning, the operational capacity of the wind project has reached 52 MW, following the earlier commissioning of 44 MW. The commissioning process was carried out in the presence of officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), and the commissioning minutes of meeting have been duly signed. The formal commissioning certificate for this phase is expected to be issued shortly.

The milestone adds to ACME Solar’s growing operational portfolio, taking the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity to 2,942 MW. The 100 MW wind project is being financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and is constructed through ACME Solar’s in-house EPC capabilities. The project deploys 4 MW wind turbine generators supplied by SANY.

Power generated from the project will be sold under a long-term 25-year Power Purchase Agreement signed between ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), providing long-term revenue visibility once the entire project is fully commissioned.
