ACs become expensive as the heat increases! Increase in air conditioner prices from 1 ton to 2 ton.

Summer has not yet fully started, but the temperature is increasing rapidly in many parts of the country. In many cities the mercury has reached close to 40 degrees Celsius, due to which people are facing severe heat. Due to increasing heat, people are turning to buying air conditioners in large numbers. However, meanwhile, news of concern for consumers has come to light, because the prices of ACs have started increasing in the market.

According to industry sources, air conditioner manufacturing companies have decided to increase the prices of ACs by 5 to 15 percent due to increase in production costs. This means that buying a new AC may prove costly for customers in the coming months.

The demand for AC increases rapidly during the summer season and during this time many major companies have started increasing the prices of their products. in these Daikin, Voltage, Blue Star, LG Electronics, Haier And Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Companies like.

This increase is being implemented in a phased manner between February and April 2026. Therefore, customers planning to buy AC in the summer season may have to spend more money than before.

Many reasons are being given behind the increase in the prices of air conditioners. Copper, aluminum and other metals are used in the manufacturing of AC. Due to increase in copper prices in the international market, the production cost of companies has increased.

Apart from this, due to the strengthening of the US dollar, imported parts have become expensive. Weakness of rupee and increasing transport expenses have also affected the prices. Also, due to the new energy efficiency rules of the government, companies are having to make more power saving ACs, due to which the production cost is increasing.

According to the companies, some brands have already increased the prices of their products, while some companies may increase the prices further from April. In many models this increase may be 8 to 10 percent, while in some premium models there is a possibility of increase by 12 to 15 percent.

However, due to old stock still available in the market, customers will feel the full impact of the price increase gradually.

At present, ACs of different companies are available in the market at different prices. as an example Hitachi 2 Ton 3 Star Inverter Split AC is available for around Rs 45,000. In the coming time, its price may increase by Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000.

similarly Daikin The 1 Ton 3 Star Inverter Split AC is currently available for around Rs 32,000. If there is an increase of 12 percent then its price can reach around Rs 35,000.

Blue Star 1.5 Ton 5 Star AC is currently available for around Rs 41,000. After 10 percent price increase, it can reach around Rs 45,000.

There itself Voltage The 1.5 Ton AC is currently available for around Rs 30,000, which may go up to Rs 34,000 in future.

Despite rising prices, companies expect good growth in AC sales this year. The Meteorological Department has predicted severe heat this year, due to which the demand for AC and cooling equipment may increase.

Apart from this, new star rated models consume less electricity, due to which customers are getting more attracted towards them. According to industry experts, AC sales may increase by about 15 percent in 2026.
