Action against 707 student credit card students in Bihar, they were playing tricks with the government

In Bhabhua district, Bihar State Education Finance Corporation has filed a case against 707 beneficiaries who did not return the loan amount after taking the loan amount under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.

Apart from this, notices have been sent to 270. In this regard, District Registration and Counseling Manager Mohd. Akhtar Ali told that on the initiative of the state government, apart from Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister Nishchay Self-Help Scheme, Skilled Youth Program is being run for the youth of Bihar.

Action taken against those who do not repay the loan

He said that so that the youth of the district do not face financial inconvenience in their studies, financial assistance was given in the form of loan through Bihar State Education Finance Corporation under the Bihar Student Card Scheme to get higher education. Bihar State Education Finance Corporation has initiated action to recover the amount from the youth who did not return the amount taken as loan within the stipulated time.

Auction letter case filed against 707 beneficiaries

Till now, a case has been filed in the court against 707 beneficiaries for not returning the loan amount. 7307 beneficiaries of all the block areas of the district have been given the benefit of Bihar Credit Card Scheme. This loan is available for various general courses of higher education and professional courses like MCA, Medical, Engineering, Management, Law, Nursing, BABSCB. Work, etc. is given to study the course.

The manager of District Registration and Counseling said that the district has achieved the target of 1450 for Bihar Student Card Scheme in the financial year 2024-25. 1229 applications have been received.

Under the Chief Minister Nishchay Self-Help Allowance Scheme, unemployed youth aged between 20 to 25 years are given an amount of Rs 1,000 per month for two years as assistance while searching for employment. Under the Skilled Youth Programme, youth are given training in language Hindi, English, communication skills, basic, computer knowledge and behavioral skills for three months for 80, 120 and 40 hours respectively.
