Action against city council president candidate Ramesh Kheerwal in Chaibasa

Violation of code of conduct on BJP candidate in Chaibasa Municipal Council elections

Desk: In the Chaibasa Municipal Council elections, BJP supported presidential candidate Ramesh Kheerwal alias Laddu has been accused of violating the code of conduct. He is suspected of distributing biscuits to voters while campaigning under the ‘Biscuit’ election symbol. The magistrate initially considered this a violation and sent a complaint to the Election Commission. Besides, an FIR has also been lodged in Sadar police station.

Notice to former MLA and other leaders

As soon as information about this matter was received, the magistrate posted on election duty took it seriously. A written complaint was sent to the Election Commission, stating that it is illegal to provide any kind of inducement to voters during voting. In this context, notices have been issued to a total of 18 leaders, including former MLA Sanjeev Singh. However, there has been no official response from the candidate yet.
