According to reports, actor James Handy was murdered by his girlfriend’s son. The actor was 81 years old. The police received a call in which a man claimed that he had murdered someone. On reaching the spot, the police team found James Handy lying in the courtyard of his house.
Police said, ‘On June 3, 2026, at approximately 9:30 am, West Valley area patrol officers received an unknown call from Irwin Street. The person calling said I am that man’s son, I have just killed him.’
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found 81-year-old James Handy unconscious in the front yard of the home with a stab wound to the chest. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The person who committed the murder himself told that he is the son of James Handy’s girlfriend. The name of this person is Michael Gledhill (44), the police has arrested him. A representative of James Handy shared the sad news of the actor’s passing with everyone. He said: ‘It is with great sadness that I can confirm that the man who was attacked and murdered in Tarzana on Wednesday was actor James Handy.’ The representative said that the matter is under investigation.
