New Delhi. After months of waiting, fans finally got the first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Maryada Purushottam Ram in the film Ramayana. The makers released a special teaser on Thursday, in which Ranbir has been introduced as Lord Ram. This teaser of the film Ramayan The Introduction gives fans the first glimpse of Ranbir’s character. Ravi Dubey and Sai Pallavi are seen briefly in a few shots, and glimpses of Ravana’s empire are also seen. This video named Ram mainly focuses on the journey and exploits of Lord Ram. Its visuals stand out for their grandeur and impressive appeal.

Ranbir opened up about playing the character of Ram and said that it has been a great learning experience for him. He said that I do not think that I have come here to represent Ram. I have come here to learn from him. There is a simplicity and purity in him that is very rare and trying to understand and internalize it has been a very humbling experience for me. The film is directed by Nitish Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. It is planned to be made as a two-part series and is one of the biggest projects in Indian cinema. Inspired by the ancient epic Ramayana, the film revolves around the story of Rama, who is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It depicts his journey as the prince of Ayodhya, his exile and his war with Ravana. In this film, Sai Pallavi will be seen in the role of Sita, Yash in the role of Ravana, Sunny Deol in the role of Hanuman and Ravi Dubey in the role of Laxman. The music of this film is composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The first part of the film Ramayana is scheduled to release in theaters in Diwali 2026, while the second part is expected to release in Diwali 2027.
