'Deepfake' is a digital technology in which the photograph of one person is superimposed on the photograph of another person using AI. Such videos and pictures made with the use of AI appear absolutely real. 'CTRL', made under the banner of Saffron and Andolan Films, will be aired on the OTT platform 'Netflix' from October 4. The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.

hard to distinguish

Deepfake technology refers to artificial media in which one person is replaced with another person in an existing image or video, with such similarity that it becomes difficult to distinguish them. Although creating fake media is not a new task, deepfakes have taken a huge step forward by leveraging powerful technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence to generate visual and audio content to deceive the eyes and ears.
