Ramya’s scathing review on social media

Ramya shared a long and strong review on Ranveer Singh’s recently released film Dhurandhar 2 on her official Describing the film as a test of patience, he wrote that this is a film which tires the audience instead of engaging them. According to Ramya, the experience of the film is like reading a very boring book, whose chapters never seem to end.

While advising the audience, he even said that if anyone wants to watch this film, then he should not waste his time and money in the theater, but should watch it only on an OTT platform, where it is easy to escape from it by stopping in between.

Questions raised on technical aspects also

Ramya also raised serious questions on the direction, writing and technical quality of the film. He said that the film’s direction, dialogues, editing, background score and even acting are below average. According to him, it seems as if the film was released in a hurry and the makers did not pay attention to its quality. He described this film as much weaker than the first part and said that while the audience’s participation and energy was clearly visible in the first part, this time an atmosphere of disappointment is felt in the theatre.

Ranveer Singh’s acting targeted

Ramya also commented specifically on Ranveer Singh’s performance. He sarcastically said that if someone is claiming that Ranveer has handled the film, then it is beyond understanding what he did. He jokingly said that in this film, he noticed Ranveer’s hair more than his acting, which seemed to be distracting during the scenes. According to him, the actor’s performance this time was not impressive.

Questions on violence and ‘blind-nationalism’

Ramya also expressed strong objection to the excessive violence shown in the film. Calling it a visual handbook, he said that the film depicts violence by weaponizing everything – be it syringes, spanners, knives, chains or guns. According to him, the level of violence in the film has been increased so much that it starts looking absurd instead of being effective. He sarcastically said that some scenes are so unrealistic that even medical science would be surprised to see them. Along with this, he also raised questions on the elements like alleged “chauvinism” and propaganda shown in the film and advised director Aditya Dhar to move ahead from such topics.
