Actress Taapsee Pannu expressed grief over the death of NEET candidate, said – such incidents have become common in the country.

Mumbai Actress Taapsee Pannu has expressed deep grief over the recent death of a NEET candidate in Patna. He said that such incidents have become very common across the country. Reacting to this matter, Taapsee said that there would have been 79 more such cases that day, not only here but in the entire country. I am feeling very sad. On an average 80 such incidents occur in the country. Maybe there may be more than this. We have now stopped giving importance to such matters and have made them normal. Which is very sad. Officials said on February 13 that their comments come amid the ongoing investigation into the death of a student who fell from the fourth floor of a coaching center near Patna AIIMS. Police said the NEET candidate later died during treatment in Patna. Although there were reports alleging sexual assault, police clarified that doctors have not confirmed sexual or penetrative assault in the case.

During forensic investigation, traces of human sperm were found on an undergarment allegedly worn by the deceased at the time of the incident. A DNA profile is being prepared from the sample so that it can be matched with the arrested accused and suspects identified by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). According to sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has now started investigating the case. Earlier on January 31, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had said that the state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had requested the Central Government to transfer the investigation to CBI. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav met the bereaved family and condemned the incident and expressed concern about law and order in Bihar. He also alleged that the SIT harassed the victim’s family. Meanwhile, the parents of the deceased joined the protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on February 8, demanding justice.
