Legendary Australian wicketkeeper batter Adam Gilchrist sent out praises to the 26-year-old Indian star and said he is a player whom Adam will happily pay money to watch bat.
With his aggressive style that has made him a fan favourite around the world, Gilchrist is regarded as the greatest wicketkeeper batter of all time.. He was not just one of the best Test cricket openers of all time, he shook the world of test cricket as he smashed bowlers all around the ground.
Rishabh Pant has attracted comparisons with Adam Gilchrist due to his incredible outing in Tests in his short career. Pant’s aggressive batting style has regularly reminded fans of Gilchrist.
Adam sent a lot of praise to Pant and stated that the Indian star is a player he would ‘pay money to watch’.
“He is, what you say, bums on seats and people pay money well and truly. I would happily pay money to watch him play cricket. So that’s a great quality to have, I think, if people are acknowledging in that manner because he gets the results, he’s a winner and a survivor, as we know. He’s all class in everything he does. He’s good fun, he’s got the humour. He knows how to go about a very serious business in a fun way,” said Gilchrist.
