Adani stocks today: Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and others rebound

Adani Stocks – Adani Enterprises, Adani Wilmar, Ambuja Cements, NDTV, Adani Energy Solutions, ACC, Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports, Adani Total Gas, Adani Power are in focus on November 22, 2024 (Friday). The stocks are in news today after billionaire Gautam Adani was charged by US prosecutors for allegedly being part of a bribery scheme. The allegations claim that USD 265 million (about Rs 2,200 crore) bribe was paid to Indian officials in exchange for favourable terms for solar power contracts.

Meanwhile, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI), which is the nodal agency for implementation of renewable projects in India, has not been mentioned for any wrongdoing in the Adani case.

Billionaire Gautam Adani has been charged by US prosecutors for allegedly being part of a scheme to pay USD 265 million (about Rs 2,200 crore) bribe to Indian officials in exchange of favourable terms for solar power contracts.

“There is nothing against SECI that SECI has done anything wrong. That is no where. There is no mention of any wrongdoing or irregularity on part of SECI,” SECI CMD R P Gupta said on Thursday when asked to comment on developments related to the Adani case.

It may be noted that SECI awarded the solar manufacturing-linked power tender. As per the US prosecutors’ document, the nodal agency entered into the sale agreements with Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, between July 2021 and December 2021.
