After MP, UP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, now the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand has decided to give advance salary pension to employees and pensioners. The Finance Department has issued orders to pay salaries to employees and pensions to pensioners on October 30.

Additional Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Government, Anand Vardhan has issued instructions in this regard to all the heads of departments, District Magistrates, Director of Treasury Pension and Senior Treasury Officers, in which it has been made clear that due to Diwali being on 31st October, all the state employees, aided education and Salaries for the month of October should be paid before October 30 to pensioners and family pensioners receiving pension from technical educational institutions, urban and local bodies, work affected employees and state treasuries.

Will have to wait for bonus DA

Recently, a delegation of Uttarakhand Secretariat Association met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday, during which he demanded payment of October salary before October 31, Diwali bonus to non-gazetted personnel up to 5400 grade pay and DA of state employees like central employees. Requested a 3 percent increase, to which he has given in-principle consent. It was expected that a decision on DA bonus could be taken in the cabinet to be held on Wednesday, but it did not happen, which means the employees will have to wait a little longer.

In the meeting, the personnel engaged on the basis of recruitment notification before October 2005 will also be given the benefit of OPS, however, the CM also discussed other demands of the association pending in the Finance Department and the personnel retiring on 30th June and 31st December. Instructions have been given to the Additional Chief Secretary Finance to take positive action on the demand of adding the benefit of annual salary increase in pension.
