AEON Mall Vietnam officially opened the AEON Mall Hue in Thua Thien-Hue Province, its first shopping mall in central Vietnam and its seventh in Vietnam.
Covering 8.6 hectares, the new mall accommodates about 140 stores featuring famous international and domestic brands.
Construction of the facility started last February with a total investment of nearly US$170 million.
Ohno Keiji, president of AEON Mall, said that under the concept of “Home of Culture,” AEON MALL Hue is a harmonious fusion of Japanese and Hue cultural values.
It is expected to offer new experience for customers and become a place where everyone feels familiar and comfortable just like their home, he said.
In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Phan Quy Phuong, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said the mall’s opening marks the locality’s efforts to promote the implementation of key projects.
He pledged that the local administration will continue to support and collaborate with the firm to create the most favorable conditions for the mall to operate effectively, attracting tourists and boosting local socio-economic development.
