Affordable sedan to enter fleet segment, Tata XPRES launched in petrol and CNG
Tata Motors has made a big bet for the people associated with taxi and fleet business. The company has now launched its special fleet sedan Tata XPRES in petrol and CNG options. Till now this car was available only in electric avatar, but with the new engine options Tata has directly challenged Dzire Tour and Hyundai Aura.
A car designed keeping fleet operators in mind
Tata XPRES has been specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of taxi and fleet operators. It has Tata’s reliable 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine, which comes with a manual gearbox. Besides, now twin-cylinder CNG technology is also available in it. This improves mileage and reduces daily expenses, which increases direct earnings.
Price and warranty made a big weapon
Talking about the price, the starting ex-showroom price of Tata XPRES petrol has been kept at Rs 5.59 lakh. Whereas the starting price of XPRES CNG is Rs 6.59 lakh. Both of these are introductory prices. The special thing is that the company is giving an extended warranty of 5 years or 1.80 lakh kilometers with it, which is very important in the fleet segment.
Direct competition between Dzire Tour and Aura
Tata XPRES directly competes with Maruti Dzire Tour and Hyundai Aura. Tata claims that this sedan is the cheapest fleet car in its segment, be it petrol or CNG. Low maintenance and strong build quality make it a great option for taxi business.
The biggest feature of CNG version
XPRES CNG has a large twin-cylinder tank of 70 liters, which is considered to be the largest in this segment. This reduces the tension of filling CNG again and again. The best thing is that due to this design there is no impact on the boot space, which is very important for taxi operators.
Huge boot space even in petrol model
in petrol variant Large boot space of 419 liters Available, which is very useful for passengers’ luggage. This can prove to be a big advantage in long distance taxi service.
