AFG vs BAN: With AM Ghazanfar's six, Afghanistan freed Bangladesh from sixes, gave a crushing defeat.
Sports Desk: In the first ODI match played between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Afghanistan has given a crushing defeat to Bangladesh. Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by a margin of 92 runs. Bangladesh missed six wickets due to AM Ghazanfar's six wickets. With this victory, we have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar was given the Man of the Match award for his excellent performance.
Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Batting first, Afghanistan team scored 235 runs losing all the wickets in 50 overs. Afghanistan did not have a good start. After losing 4 wickets at 35, Mohammad Nabi and Hashmatullah Shahidi together took the innings forward. Both played brilliant half-century innings. Mohammad Nabi played an inning of 84 runs. Whereas Hashtamullah Shahidi played an inning of 52 runs.

Apart from that, Sediqullah Atal contributed 21 runs, Gulbadin Naib 22 runs, Nangelia Kharote 27 runs and Rashid Khan contributed 10 runs. While bowling for Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed took 4 wickets in his name. Mustafizur Rahman also took 4 wickets and Shoriful Islam got 1 wicket.
Bangladesh team scattered in chasing the target
In reply, the Bangladesh team which came to chase this target was looking in a very good position at one time. But AM Ghazanfar defeated Bangladesh team cheaply by taking 6 wickets and won the match by 92 runs. For Bangladesh, Soumya Sarkar scored 33 runs, Nazmul Shanto scored 47 runs, Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored 28 runs and Tauheed Hardoy scored 11 runs. Apart from him, no other batsman could reach double figures. While bowling for Afghanistan, Ghazanfar took 6 wickets, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets, Omarzai took 1 wicket and Nabi took 1 wicket.
