Afghanistan cruise to 82-run win over Canada in their last ICC T20 World Cup 2026 fixture
Afghanistan managed to restore some pride after defeating Canada by 82 runs in their last match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The sub-continent team was already eliminated from the global tournament after losing to New Zealand and South Africa. They managed to secure two wins from five matches to finish third in Group D. Chasing 201 runs, Canada were restricted for 118/9 in 20 overs, with Harsh Thaker (30) and Shreyas Movva (28) showing some fight with the bat.
Mohammad Nabi was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets. Earlier, Afghanistan amassed 200/4 in their allotted 20 overs, with Ibrahim Zadran (95*) and Sediqullah Atal (44) leading the batting charts. For Canada, Jaskaran Singh got rid of three batters.
