Afghanistan retaliates in response to Pakistan’s air strikes, claims to have captured 15 posts

Kabul, 27 February. Afghanistan claimed on Thursday night that it was retaliating against Pakistan in response to recent Pakistani air strikes. According to Afghan officials, so far 15 enemy posts have been captured during the operations in the border area. Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said in a statement issued on social media that several Pakistani soldiers have been killed during the operation, while some have also been captured alive.

According to the spokesperson, operations against the enemy are continuing and strategic gains are being made in the border area. He said that a total of 15 enemy posts have been captured and many soldiers have suffered casualties. The Afghan side also informed that units equipped with state-of-the-art laser equipment deployed on the Durand Line have also started operations. The statement said that taking advantage of the darkness of the night, every activity of the enemy will be targeted. However, there has been no official response from Pakistan on these claims yet. In view of the increasing tension between the two countries, the situation in the region remains sensitive.

Let us tell you that the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) had confirmed that 13 civilians were killed in air strikes conducted by Pakistani military forces in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces of Afghanistan.
