After approval from CBFC, the way for release is clear, Vijay’s last film ‘Jana Nayakan’ will be 3 hours 3 minutes long.
New Delhi . Actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has finally received the certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The path for release has now been cleared for this film which was stuck in the certification process for a long time. According to available information, the runtime of the film has been set at 3 hours 3 minutes, making it one of the longest films of Vijay’s career. The film is set to be released in theaters this month.
With the completion of the certification process, the film has been given an ‘A’ category certificate. However, detailed information regarding the modifications or cuts made in the film has not been made public. After receiving the certificate, the makers have now started final preparations for the release. This is considered a big relief for the audience who has been waiting for the film for a long time.
‘Jana Nayakan’ is considered to be the last film of Vijay’s acting career. After entering active politics and focusing completely on public life, Vijay has decided to stay away from films. For this reason, this film also holds emotional importance for his fans. The excitement about the film is not limited only to its story or cast, but it is also considered to be the end of Vijay’s film journey.
Along with Vijay, actors like Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamita Baiju will also be seen in important roles in the film. With a strong team of actors and a large scale production, this project has long been counted among the most talked about films of Tamil cinema. Even before its release, the film has garnered widespread discussion and is in constant demand among the audience.
The film was originally scheduled to be released at the beginning of the year, but its release had to be postponed due to the certification process not being completed. Later, news of some material related to the film being leaked online also came to light, which gave a big shock to the producers. Industry reports claimed that the incident also caused financial loss to the film. Despite this, the producers continued preparing to deliver the film to the audience with the prescribed quality.
According to reports, one of the reasons for the delay in certification was the objections raised over some scenes in the film. After receiving complaints on some points related to military presentation and religious sensitivity, a detailed review of the matter was conducted. Under this process, the film was sent to the concerned committee for reconsideration. The certificate has now been issued following completion of the review, clearing all formal hurdles.
The film’s runtime of over three hours indicates that it may feature a comprehensive story, multiple lead characters, and a high-level cinematic presentation. The eyes of the audience are now fixed on its release, because it is not only a big budget film but is also considered to be the last chapter of Thalapathy Vijay’s long and successful film journey. In such a situation, remarkable performance is expected from ‘Jana Nayakan’ at the box office also.
