After being removed from the post of Deputy Leader, Raghav Chadha hit back at AAP, said- did not go to Parliament to abuse..
New Delhi: Political turmoil has intensified after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadda was recently removed from the post of Deputy Leader in the Upper House. After this action of the party, many allegations were leveled against him, which include things like working beyond the party line and not protesting as expected on important issues. Some party leaders alleged that Raghav Chadha was not active in opposing the government on important issues and did not even leave the House during the walkout of opposition parties.
Amidst these allegations, Raghav Chadha responded by releasing a video on social media on Saturday afternoon. Answering the questions raised on him, he made it clear that he has always given priority to public issues and raises only those issues in Parliament which are related to the common people.
He said, “I have not gone to Parliament to make noise or abuse. I raised issues related to the general public. I raised issues like expensive food at the airport, problems of delivery riders, food adulteration, tax burden on the middle class, strike by content creators and frequent recharge by telecom companies.”
Chadha said, “I have not gone to Parliament to make noise or abuse. I raised issues related to the general public. I challenge you, tell me one time when I did not walk out with the opposition members. There are cameras installed in Parliament, you take out the cameras and show me.”
He also clarified that the purpose of his issues was only to highlight the problems of the public and not to do political drama. The issues raised by him include: the issue of expensive food at airports, problems of delivery riders, food adulteration, tax burden on the middle class, strikes on content creators, frequent recharges by telecom companies.
Raghav Chadha clearly rejected the allegations leveled against him by the party. The allegation was that he did not sign the resolution against the Chief Election Commissioner. Chadha said, “I would have signed if I was told about it officially or unofficially. No one told me anything about it. Anyway, there are 10 Aam Aadmi Party MPs in the Rajya Sabha, out of which 6 or 7 MPs did not sign, but the question was raised only on me.” He also added that the issue was based on personal political speculations, while his main focus was to raise the issues of the general public in the House.
Raghav Chadha explained in detail in his video that an organized and scripted campaign is being conducted against him. He said, “Since yesterday, a scripted campaign is being run against me, same language, same things, same allegations. This is not a coincidence, but a collective attack.”
He told that initially he thought of not answering it, but then realized that “If a lie is told a hundred times, some people may not believe it. Therefore it is necessary to answer.” He said that the Aam Aadmi Party has leveled three allegations against him and said that because of these allegations he was prevented from speaking in Parliament.
