After Bigg Boss 18 Win, Karan Veer Mehra Responds To Roasting Vivian Dsena: ‘Should’ve Avoided That’
Karan Veer Mehra emerged victorious in the grand finale of Bigg Boss 18 on Sunday night, lifting the coveted trophy and defeating one of the strongest contenders, Vivian Dsena. However, one incident during the season stood out—Karan’s controversial roast of Vivian, which he later admitted was the lowest point of his journey.
In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN after his win, Karan opened up about the roast. “The low point was the roast I did for Vivian. I should have avoided that,” he confessed. The roast, intended to be lighthearted, ended up stirring tension between the two friends of 12 years. Reflecting on their dynamic, Karan explained, “We had a lover’s spat on the show. Actually, both of our definitions of friendship are very different. He thought of me as a dearer friend, and I was coming from a space where I thought he was getting things very easily. But now, it’s a 100-day friendship.”
Despite the ups and downs, the camaraderie and conflicts between Karan and Vivian became one of the season’s major talking points, keeping viewers glued to their screens. Their relationship encapsulated the emotional rollercoaster that defines Bigg Boss.
Celebrating his victory, Karan took to Instagram to thank his fans. Posting pictures with the trophy, he wrote, “The moment we all have been waiting for is finally HERE! JANTA KA LAADLA has won.” He added, “Bigg Boss 18 ka asli hero is back to his backbones and with the Trophy as promised. You all have shown the true power of the neutral audience. #KVMNation and #KaranKeVeeron, this victory belongs to you.”
The 18th season of Bigg Boss featured 23 contestants, including Shilpa Shirodkar, Chahat Pandey, Kashish Kapoor, Sara Arfeen Khan, Digvijay Singh Rathee, Edin Rose, Yamini Malhotra, Aditi Mistry, Alice Kaushik, Muskan Bamne, Tajinder Bagga, Shehzada Dhami, Nyrraa Banerjee, Hema Sharma, and Gunratan Sadavarte. Karan's journey to the top was marked by strategy, emotional moments, and enduring fan support.
The finale also brought Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and host Salman Khan together on stage to recreate a memorable scene from their iconic film Andaz Apna Apna. Adding to the glitz, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor made an appearance to promote their upcoming film Loveyapa.
Karan’s triumph highlights not just his competitive spirit but also his ability to own up to his mistakes and forge ahead, making him a deserving winner of Bigg Boss 18.
