After confirmation of Khamenei’s death, Iran claims to attack 27 American targets, blasts in Qatar- UAE

Bureau Prayagraj. Tension has reached its peak in the Middle East. After confirming the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), the main unit of Iran’s army, has claimed that it has attacked 27 US military bases in the Middle East and several important Israeli military complexes. This information has come out quoting Al Jazeera’s report, in which Iranian government media has also been mentioned.

According to Iranian state media, the IRGC has said it is taking action as part of the “sixth wave” in response to the bombings of Iran by the US and Israel. The statement said “widespread missile and drone strikes” were carried out against Israel and US military bases in the region.

The IRGC claimed that in addition to 27 US military bases, Israel’s Tel Nof airbase, the Tel Aviv-based army command headquarters Hakirya, and a large defense industrial complex located in the same city were targeted. The IRGC also warned that Iranian forces would take “persistent and harsh reprisals”.

Meanwhile, several explosions are reported to have been heard from Doha, the capital of Qatar. Local residents were quoted as saying that at least 11 explosions were heard in the sky above the city. Qatar’s Interior Ministry later confirmed that a total of 16 people were injured following the Iranian attacks. The confirmation of an additional eight injured brought the total number to 16, according to the ministry. Information about “limited physical damage” has also been given in various areas.

There are reports of sirens escaping in Israel. At the same time, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that due to the missile launch by Iran, there is a possibility of air attack sirens being sounded across the country. Due to this, security agencies in Israel have come on alert mode. According to the report of American news agency Associated Press (AP), the effect of Iranian attacks has also been seen in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The ongoing conflict between Iran, Israel and America has now started directly affecting the Gulf region as well. Incidents of blasts and arson in countries like Qatar and UAE have raised security concerns.
