After dismissing Virat Kohli, the batsman himself gave a special gift to the bowler! Photo viral on social media

It was a dream day for Gujarat left-arm spinner Vishal Jaiswal on Friday. On 26 December, he took the wicket of Virat Kohli in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 match between Delhi vs Gujarat at the BCCI Center of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. He then met Virat Kohli and received a special gift. Indian team’s star batsman Virat Kohli is currently in great form. In the second round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Virat Kohli was on the verge of scoring his second consecutive century when he was bowled by Gujarat’s left-arm spinner Vishal Jaiswal.

Kohli, on 77, was trying to use his legs to play a big shot, but Vishal beat him with his flight and turn and was stumped by the wicketkeeper. Jaiswal was very happy after taking the wicket of Kohli. His joy was further enhanced by getting the match ball autographed by Kohli and taking a photo with the star batsman. Sharing a post on social media, Vishal wrote a touching caption about Kohli.

Sharing the video of Virat Kohli’s dismissal on his Instagram handle, Vishal wrote, “Watching him rule the cricket world and then playing with him on the same field and taking his wicket was a moment I never imagined. Taking Virat bhai’s wicket will always be memorable for me. I am grateful for this occasion, this journey and everything this beautiful game has given me.” He also shared a picture with Virat Kohli on his Instagram handle.

He also shared a photo of a match ball signed by Virat Kohli. In the caption accompanying the photo, Vishal wrote – From watching him (Virat) on TV to sharing the field, this moment has been amazing for me.

Talking about the match, Vishal Jaiswal not only took the wicket of Virat Kohli but also dismissed Rishabh Pant, Arpit Rana and Nitish Rana. Gujarat restricted Delhi to 254 runs by conceding 4/42 in 10 overs. However, the target proved too easy for Gujarat as the team scored 247 runs in 47.4 overs and lost the match by 7 runs. Virat Kohli was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 77 runs and received a prize of Rs 10,000.
