After a big fall in stock market yesterday, net worth of Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani was also adversely impacted, both of them combinedly lost thousands of crores rs.

Markets were dragged down by weak trends in Reliance Industries’ stock. The BSE Sensex tumbled 941.88 points, or 1.18 per cent, to settle at 78,782.24, the lowest closing level since August 6. During the day, it slumped 1,491.52 points, or 1.87 per cent, to 78,232.60.

It impacted the net worth of two of the country’s wealthiest individuals, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. The combined net worth of these two billionaires fell by $4.78 billion, equivalent to around 4,022 crore rupees.

Mukesh Ambani & Gautam Adani Exit $100 Billion Club

Both Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani’s fortunes took a hit. Reliance Industries’ shares dropped by nearly 3%, causing Mukesh Ambani’s net worth to fall by $2.72 billion. Similarly, Gautam Adani’s wealth decreased by $2.06 billion.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani slipped to the 17th spot in the world’s richest list, with his net worth now standing at $98.8 billion, effectively exiting the $100 billion club.

Despite this recent decline, Ambani’s net worth has increased by $2.42 billion this year. Meanwhile, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani’s net worth now stands at $92.3 billion, placing him at the 18th position. Adani’s wealth has grown by $8.05 billion so far this year.

On Monday, the biggest loss was recorded by Elon Musk, whose net worth dropped by $4.39 billion, bringing it down to $258 billion. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos remains in second place with a net worth of $218 billion. Mark Zuckerberg, however, has fallen out of the $200 billion club, with his net worth now at $199 billion.
