After ICC poster row, BCCI image puts spotlight back on Pakistan snub
Just a day after Pakistan’s captain was missing from the ICC’s promotional poster for T20 World Cup 2026 tickets, another move has caught attention—this time from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The latest incident may not sit well with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Ahead of the India U19 vs Pakistan U19 clash in the ongoing U19 Men’s Asia Cup 2025, the BCCI shared a photograph of the toss moment on its official X handle. However, the image featured only India captain Ayush Mhatre, with Pakistan skipper Farhan Yousaf conspicuously absent from the frame. The omission quickly sparked discussion, especially given similar instances in the past where Pakistan’s captain was missing from Asia Cup promotional material.
With both the ICC and BCCI now involved in back-to-back incidents, it remains to be seen whether the PCB will issue an official response to what many view as repeated oversights.
Aaron George holds firm as India U19 steady after early losses

On the field, Pakistan U19 won the toss and opted to bowl first. India U19 reached 146 for four in 26 overs, with Aaron George and Abhigyan Kundu at the crease. George played a composed knock, bringing up his half-century and moving to 65 off 69 balls, including nine fours and a six.
Earlier, skipper Ayush Mhatre provided a brisk start with 38 off just 25 balls, striking four fours and three sixes. Pakistan’s bowling was led by Mohammad Sayyam, who picked up two wickets, while Niqab Shafiq impressed with an economical spell of two for 26 in six overs.
Both teams entered the contest on the back of emphatic wins in their opening matches. India thrashed UAE U19 by 234 runs, while Pakistan began their campaign with a dominant 97-run victory over Malaysia U19. With four points on offer, the winner of this clash will take a strong step towards the top of the standings.
