This format is not played much these days. The sooner we start planning, the better it will be for us.”

He further said, “South Africa is not an easy place to play cricket. We have to find the right combination and identify players who are suitable for the conditions there. This work will be done by the selectors and coaches. By the time IPL 2026 ends, India will have a blueprint ready for the ODI World Cup 2027.”
