After 'Modi era', no 'leader' with mass base emerged in BJP, the threat of famous faces of the party started decreasing.
New Delhi. Narendra Modi, who came to central politics in 2014 as the face of Hindutva and on the basis of Gujarat model, has started being counted among the biggest leaders of the country. He has become Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, which is a big history in itself. With this history, Narendra Modi has emerged as the biggest face and leader of BJP so far. However, on the contrary, some people have big allegations, the biggest allegation of which is that Gujarat has not been able to become a big face from BJP under Modi rule in the country. Or rather, the big faces were sidelined. Similarly, the threat of senior BJP leaders has also reduced in many states.

Now let us talk about Gujarat, when Narendra Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time on 7 October 2001. At that time, the party had many big leaders, including Keshubhai Bhai Patel, Shankar Singh Baghela, Dilip Parikh. Among these, there were many leaders who were very close to Narendra Modi in Gujarat. However, as time passed and Narendra Modi's graph in politics increased, the political image of the leaders called stalwarts of BJP started weakening. Therefore, no one could become a bigger face than Narendra Modi in Gujarat.
After this, his stature gradually increased in BJP and he moved towards central politics. In 2014, the party contested the elections on his face and BJP returned to central politics with a huge majority. After this election, BJP started contesting every election starting from assembly elections on the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the public also started liking the face of Narendra Modi. On the face of Narendra Modi, BJP government was formed at the Center and in many states, in the states where BJP came to power, only the face of Narendra Modi was useful.
But the face and identity of BJP's state and regional level leaders kept getting blurred amidst all this. Even the election was not contested on the face of BJP President nor was he given much importance in the election campaign and posters. After Gujarat, Narendra Modi's monopoly rule was visible in central politics also. In such a situation, it can be said that the regional veteran leaders of the party became sidelined.
Now if we look at some recent elections, these things will become absolutely clear. Before and after the Lok Sabha elections, elections were held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana. In all these states, BJP had contested the elections by putting forward the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whereas in these states, BJP had regional leaders like Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Raman Singh. However, along with PM Modi, these leaders also put their strength in the elections and the party formed a majority in four states and a coalition government in one state. In this, BJP had to face defeat in Telangana and Jammu Kashmir.

After this election result, regional veteran leaders of BJP like Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Raman Singh were sidelined and other BJP leaders were given a chance. However, after the Lok Sabha elections, Shivraj Singh Chauhan was made the cabinet minister at the Centre, but now his threat from the politics of Madhya Pradesh has definitely reduced. Something similar happened with Vasundhara Raje Scindia, where by making a new face the Chief Minister, the party worked to sideline her in a way. Something similar was seen in Haryana also, when BJP sidelined Manohar Lal Khatt before the elections and made Naib Singh Saini the Chief Minister.
In such a situation, some political analysts say that now people may get the important posts including Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister, Minister in BJP, but the leader and face of Narendra Modi is still to be seen from Gujarat to Central politics. Got it.
Leaders like Amit Shah, Yogi increased in stature in BJP
Amidst all this, in the Modi era, the stature of Union Minister Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and other leaders has also increased. The most important thing in this is that there is a demand for CM Yogi to campaign in the elections of every state and the CMs of other states are also mentioning his law and order situation.
