After murder of wife, body was boiled in cooker, thrown in lake, retired army soldier arrested…
Hyderabad :- A heart-wrenching case has come to light in Rangareddy district of Telangana. Retired army soldier Gurumurthy murdered his wife Madhavi. After the murder, he cut the body into pieces and boiled them in a pressure cooker. The meat and bones were separated and crushed with a pestle. This dreadful sequence continued for three days. After this he filled the body parts in a bag and threw them in the nearby lake. The police have arrested the accused.
Mother lodged missing complaint
On January 18, Madhavi's mother Subamma lodged a missing complaint with the police. He told that Madhavi was married to Gurumurthy 13 years ago. The accused works as a security guard in Kanchanbagh. After the complaint, the police started investigation. During this, Gurumurthy himself confessed to the crime of killing his wife. However, the police have not yet found the body parts.
Bloodshed happened after the argument
According to the police, Madhavi and Gurumurthy were living with their two children in Venkateswara Colony for the last five years. On January 16, there was an argument between the two over some issue. That day his children had gone to Gurumurthy's sister. After an argument, Gurumurthy kills Madhavi. After the murder, he staged a missing persons drama and informed Madhavi's parents.
Attempt to destroy evidence after murder
After the murder, Gurumurthy dismembered the body in the bathroom to destroy evidence. He separated the meat from the bones, boiled them in a pressure cooker and threw them into the lake. Meerpet SHO Nagaraju said that the body has not been found yet in the case. The police team is searching the lake and surrounding areas. Help of dog squad is also being taken.
The accused confessed to the murder
DCP LB Nagar of Rangareddy district said that an FIR has been registered against Gurumurthy. The accused has confessed to the murder, but due to lack of evidence the matter is getting deeper. Police are continuously conducting search operations. Officials say that further action will be clear only after the body is found.
