After Nora Fatehi song, ‘KD The Devil’ trailer removed from YouTube
KD: The Devil hit by another setback after receiving backlash and legal complaints over Nora Fatehi’s controversial song, as the promotion has been pulled back just as it began to gather attention, raising fresh questions about checks before release.
The makers of the film starring Dhruva Sarja and directed by Prem removed the film’s trailer within a day of putting it out.
The reason, they said, was the inclusion of “uncertified content”.
In a short statement, KVN Productions said: “The trailer of KD: The Devil recently released on YouTube inadvertently included certain uncertified content during certification process.
We have therefore taken down the trailer and will be uploading a revised version shortly, in compliance with the certification guidelines. We sincerely regret this oversight and remain fully committed to adhering to all certification norms.”
The quick removal comes only weeks after the film’s Hindi song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarkefeaturing Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi, faced backlash over “suggestive” and “Vulger” lyrics.
The song was later taken down following notices from the National Commission for Women.
Online reaction has been sharp. One user wrote, “KVN and CBFC, never-ending love story.”

Another asked, “What is really happening with KVN Productions?” Others pointed to earlier delays and leaks linked to the company’s films, including projects involving Yash and Vijay.
Lines from the song, shared widely online, critics say the wording carries a clear double meaning. The controversy around the song also drew responses from those involved.

Nora Fatehi said she was unaware of the meaning of the lyrics while performing, while singer Mangli said a new version was being recorded.
The lyricist also distanced himself by saying he didn’t write the original lyrics but was asked to translate the lines from the Kannada version.
