After parting ways with 'Dostana 2', Kartik Aryan will play the role of a mother's son in Karan Johar's next film.

mumbai�मुंबई : Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced his next project, “Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri”, starring Kartik Aryan in the lead role. On the occasion of Christmas, Karan Johar took to his Instagram to reveal the upcoming romantic film, captioning it, “Full of romance, this is the best Christmas gift we've ever given you! Starring Kartik Aryan – Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri is coming to theaters in 2026, directed by Sameer Vidwan.

Aryan also shared the news on his Instagram and wrote, “You are coming Rumi mummy's sworn oath, this mumma's boy lives by fulfilling it. Super excited to return to my favorite genre, rom-com. #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri…the biggest love story coming to theaters in 2026.”

In a unique promotional video, Kartik introduces his character Ray – a self-proclaimed mama's boy who has had a checkered dating history. He admits that he had three girlfriends, each of whom faced hard times after their breakup. Determined to break this cycle, Ray vows to make his fourth relationship a success, no matter what.

The makers of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Satyprem Ki Katha” come together to present the biggest love story of 2026. “Tu Meri Main Tera”, Main Tera Tu Meri will be presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. Directed by Sameer Vidwan, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Adaar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishore Arora. This much-awaited love story is scheduled to hit the theaters in 2026.

The controversy between Kartik and Karan became one of the most talked about controversies in the industry, especially after the shelved of their much-awaited film “Dostana 2”. However, after a period of tension and distance, the two decided to reconcile and work together on a new project. This upcoming film ends the rift between Kartik after his controversial exit from “Dostana 2”. The two finally reconciled earlier this year.
